BlueLight Health, in support of our mission, operates three health and wellness initiatives: The Youth Initiative, 360 Health, and BlueLight Connect.
The Youth Initiative is an all-encompassing, school-based program geared toward K-5 students to help them pursue healthy habits and establish positive life changes. Within the framework of this program, we educate and inspire students on the topics of health and wellness. The initiative is comprised of four phases, throughout which students learn about physical fitness, nutrition, and gardening for optimal health. The program culminates in a field day celebration where students are encouraged to reflect on what they've learned over the course of the program, and also take part in fun active games.

360 Health is a twelve-week program designed for middle school students to access quality wellness education and training from a holistic perspective. Middle school students are at an influential stage in their development, and the habits they form now can follow them for life. 360 Health seeks to provide students with the tools and resources to build holistic, healthy habits to follow throughout life utilizing a “whole picture” point of view. To accomplish this, BlueLight Health will provide students a safe and supportive environment. Students will participate in activities that build awareness, and inspire change and independency toward their own health during the twelve-week program. Students will receive ongoing support and empowerment tools by implementing their own student-run 360 Health Club. Our goal is to instill in students’ pride, motivation, and confidence to share their wellness education and training to implement health and wellness within their school to empower their peers. BlueLight Connect is a community connection event hosted every quarter designed for at-risk youth and their families to stimulate a happy and encouraging environment. Events encourage healthy habits by making them fun, accessible, and attainable. Research has found that most families are met with limitations to leading a healthy lifestyle, including time, money, and support. The goal of connection events is to break down these barriers to create a sense of community togetherness in order that at-risk youth and families are better equipped to adopt better health practices into their everyday lives. Events may include fun runs, group workouts, and dance parties, to name a few. If you are interested in participating in BlueLight Connect Events, please sign up for our newsletter to stay in touch!
